Lavender oil FOR YOUR BODY
Body aches, headaches and migraines
When your body aches, massage nto sore muscles, or add it to a bath. A cold compress of a couple of drops rubbed into your temples can relieve stubborn
Colds and Flu
Inhaling is an easy and effective to way to relieve congestion. For a sore throat, add 2 drops to warm water, gargle and spit out.
If you can’t sleep, put a 3-4 drops of Lavender oil in the bath or on your pillow for a restful night.
Nausea or motion sickness
Place a drop of on the tip of your tongue, behind the ears or around the navel.
Insect bites and repellent
Add 15 drops to olive oil or coconut oil and rub on to your arms and legs as an excellent insect repellent. For insect bites, a drop rubbed over the bite will ease the itching and stinging, and reduce swelling.
Minor burns and cuts
Put 2–3 drops on minor burns or cuts to decrease pain. Use it directly on skin as a powerful antiseptic to speed up healing — an essential addition to first aid kits.
Eczema or Dermatitis
Mix 10 drops of Lavender oil with one tablespoon of coconut or almond oil and use topically on eczema and dermatitis. Small children will find it especially comforting. Add a few drops to calamine lotion and shake before use. You can alternate with Tea Tree oil.
Spray our pure Lavender Mist – Hydrosol directly onto the skin or create a mix of:
- 8 drops Lavender oil
- 4 drops Peppermint oil
- 1 teaspoon Jojoba oil.
Pour into a cool-to-lukewarm bath and soak for 10 minutes.
If your cuticles are cracked and peeling, create a healing blend of:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 10 drops Tea Tree oil
- 8 drops Lavender oil
Shake bottle well and massage a few drops into your nails and cuticles daily to soften them and prevent splitting.
Massage a few drops of Lavender oil into your lower abdomen or apply a hot compress to the area.
- 5 drops Tea Tree oil
- 5 drops Lavender oil
- 10 ml coconut oil
Use a cotton swab and dab the blend onto problem areas.
